China says slaps 10%, 5% duties on $75 bln of US imports

BEIJING, Aug 23 (PRIME) -- Beijing has introduced additional 10% and 5% import duties on U.S. $75 billion worth of goods from the U.S. in retaliation to Washington’s 10% duties on $300 billion of Chinese imports, the Tariff Commission of China’s State Council said in a statement on Friday.

The additional duties on 5,078 types of goods will come in force on September 1 and December 15.
